MODEL PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA SMA DENGAN GEOGEBRA

Matematika sering dianggap sulit oleh siswa karena bersifat abstrak dan membutuhkan pemahaman konsep yang mendalam. Materi geometri, transformasi geometri, trigonometri, dan kalkulus kerap menjadi tantangan karena melibatkan representasi spasial yang kompleks. Penggunaan GeoGebra dapat membantu memvisualisasikan konsep-konsep tersebut secara interaktif dan dinamis sehingga mempermudah pemahaman serta meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa. Namun demikian, banyak guru masih memiliki keterbatasan dalam penguasaan teknologi pembelajaran sehingga proses pembelajaran cenderung masih bersifat tradisional. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pelatihan untuk mengintegrasikan GeoGebra dalam pembelajaran matematika agar lebih menarik, efektif, dan sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa saat ini. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan GeoGebra sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 40 guru anggota MGMP Matematika SMA Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Pelaksanaan pelatihan mencakup instalasi perangkat lunak, pengenalan fitur utama, serta penerapan GeoGebra dalam menjelaskan konsep dan menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan melalui pretest dan post-assessment. Hasil analisis N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam kategori sedang hingga tinggi. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa pelatihan GeoGebra efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan guru menampilkan konsep dan penerapan matematika secara lebih jelas, menarik, serta mendorong pembelajaran yang lebih eksploratif dan interaktif.

Abstract
Mathematics is often perceived as a difficult subject by students because it is abstract and requires a deep understanding of concepts. Topics such as geometry, geometric transformations, trigonometry, and calculus frequently pose challenges due to their complex spatial representations. The use of GeoGebra can assist in visualizing these concepts interactively and dynamically, thereby facilitating comprehension and enhancing students’ learning motivation. However, many teachers still have limited mastery of educational technology, resulting in a predominantly traditional teaching process. Therefore, training is needed to integrate GeoGebra into mathematics instruction to make learning more engaging, effective, and aligned with students’ current learning characteristics.This community service program aims to improve teachers’ competencies in using GeoGebra as an interactive learning medium. The training was attended by 40 high school mathematics teachers who are members of the MGMP (Mathematics Teacher Working Group) in West Bandung Regency. The activities included software installation, introduction to main features, and the application of GeoGebra in explaining concepts and solving mathematical problems. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests and post-assessments. The N-Gain analysis results indicated an improvement in teachers’ skills within the medium to high categories. These findings demonstrate that GeoGebra training effectively enhances teachers’ ability to present mathematical concepts and applications more clearly and attractively, promoting exploratory and interactive learning.
