ABSTRACT
Communities in Kemiling Raya Sub-District, Kemiling District, Bandar Lampung City still have limited knowledge of managing and utilizing household organic waste. The community needs socialization and training on BSF (Black Soldier Fly) maggot cultivation as a solution to reduce organic waste. The purpose of this activity is to foster the community so that they can assist the government in dealing with waste management and provide knowledge to the public that organic waste can have economic value. This activity consists of three stages, namely the socialization of maggots in theory, maggot cultivation practices, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The successful implementation of socialization and BSF Maggot cultivation training can be seen from the results of the post-test which showed an increase in correct answers of 21.32% compared to the results of the pre-test. This percentage value shows an increase in public knowledge and understanding of maggot cultivation. The benefits that the community gets after participating in this activity are that they can cultivate BSF maggot in their respective homes by utilizing and processing household organic waste as a source of maggot food, and making maggot a livestock feed business that can increase economic value.
