Abstrak

In this millennium era, in addition to intellectual intelligence and emotional intelligence, modern humans are also required to have financial intelligence. Personal financial planning and determining sources of funding for housewives in Wonojati Village are still poorly understood. Financial knowledge as a form of financial literacy for housewives is relatively not optimal and needs to be improved. This study aims to determine the level of financial literacy of student farmer children in Tamberu Barat Village, Sampang Regency. The research approach used is a qualitative research approach. Observations in this study are by making direct observations in the field to find out the actual conditions regarding the financial literacy of student farmer children in West Tamberu Village, Sampang Regency. Based on the data that has been collected and processed in such a way, it can also be concluded that the level of financial literacy of farmer children in Tamberu Barat village is low. This was concluded according to the results of interviews, observations and documentation of 5 indicators to determine the level of financial literacy, namely personal financial management, saving and borrowing, insurance, investment and financial institutions. It can be concluded that there are only 2 indicators that count as medium to high, namely personal finance indicators and saving & borrowing. Other indicators can be said to be very low, especially in the insurance and investment indicators where none of the farmer's child students know for sure the types of insurance and investment which makes the average overall literacy level low.
