Indonesia's low entrepreneurship ratio and persistent graduate unemployment place higher education institutions at the centre of efforts to foster entrepreneurial intention. Grounded in the Theory of Planned Behavior, this study examines the effect of entrepreneurial attitude on entrepreneurial intention among university students and tests whether this effect differs between students of economics and non-economics faculties in Surakarta. A quantitative survey was conducted with 100 active students who had completed entrepreneurship courses (52 economics; 48 non-economics), selected through purposive sampling. The instrument was adapted from the Entrepreneurial Intention Questionnaire (EIQ), and data were analysed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) and Multi-Group Analysis (PLS-MGA). The results show that entrepreneurial attitude has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention (β = 0.681; p < 0.001), explaining 46.4% of its variance with a large effect size (f² = 0.866) and predictive relevance (Q² = 0.312). The MGA reveals that the effect is significantly stronger among economics students (β = 0.742) than among non-economics students (β = 0.603; p = 0.032). These findings confirm attitude as a key antecedent of intention and show that disciplinary background conditions how attitude is translated into intention, calling for contextual entrepreneurship education in non-economics faculties.
