ALLEGATIONS OF RESEARCH MISCONDUCT
Allegations of Research Misconduct
Policy
The International Journal of Economics, Business and Accounting Research (IJEBAR) is committed to maintaining research integrity and ethical publication practices. The journal takes allegations of research misconduct seriously and handles all reports fairly, confidentially, and objectively.
Research misconduct may include plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, citation manipulation, manipulation of the peer-review process, and other violations of publication ethics.
Reporting Allegations
Authors, reviewers, readers, and other parties may report suspected research misconduct to the Editorial Office of IJEBAR. Reports should provide a clear description of the concern and supporting evidence, such as relevant publications, documents, or data, where available.
Initial Assessment and Investigation
The Editor-in-Chief or an appointed editor will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the allegation falls within the journal's responsibilities and whether sufficient information is available for further examination.
Where appropriate, the journal may contact the corresponding author, other authors, reviewers, or the relevant institution to request clarification or supporting information. The journal will provide the parties concerned with a reasonable opportunity to respond.
Cases involving potential conflicts of interest will be handled by an editor without the relevant conflict.
Editorial Decisions and Actions
Following an assessment, IJEBAR may take appropriate action based on the evidence and the seriousness of the case. Actions may include rejecting a manuscript, requesting corrections, publishing a correction or editorial notice, issuing an expression of concern, retracting a published article, or referring the matter to the author's institution or other relevant body when appropriate.
Decisions will be made based on the available evidence, applicable ethical standards, and the journal's editorial policies.
Confidentiality and Protection Against Retaliation
Reports will be handled as confidentially as reasonably possible. The journal will seek to protect the privacy of the parties involved and will not tolerate retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith.
Contact
Allegations of research misconduct should be submitted to the IJEBAR Editorial Office through the journal's official contact channel published on this website.
