Abstract

The low national entrepreneurship ratio and high rate of educated unemployment rate require higher education institutions to rigorously foster entrepreneurial spirit through both religious values and academic knowledge. This study examines the effects of Islamic values and entrepreneurship education on the entrepreneurial intention of Islamic Economics undergraduate students at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The study uses a quantitative approach with a causal-associative design. The study was conducted at Universitas Negeri Surabaya and involved 270 respondents from the 2022, 2023, and 2024 cohorts of the Islamic Economics program. The study used Likert-scale questionnaires as the primary data collection instrument. The study used multiple linear regression analysis, processed in SPSS. The results indicate that both Islamic values and entrepreneurship education have a positive and significant effect on students' entrepreneurial intention. Simultaneously, both variables also demonstrate a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the internalization of Islamic values and the effective implementation of entrepreneurship education are critical factors in enhancing students' entrepreneurial intention. Future research is recommended to expand the scope of study by employing longitudinal research designs to examine the consistency of entrepreneurial intention until graduation, as well as incorporating external variables such as access to financial capital and family support.
